Counseling Approach

Thank you for your interest in my counseling services. I am here to help whether it be in short-term solution-focused counseling or in longer-term personal growth psychotherapy. No one size fits all. Treatment is tailored to your needs and your goals.
In sessions with clients, I am conversational and interactive, drawing upon my broad clinical training and my years of experience as a licensed psychotherapist. I address your concerns by utilizing Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) tools, and the latest findings from the field of neurobiology, among others. But three-letter therapies and trendy processes alone are not what will change painful feelings or unwanted behaviors.

Studies show that the biggest predictor of successful results in psychotherapy is the quality of the actual relationship that evolves between the client and the therapist. So it is the therapeutic connection you and I build as we work together that will be the key to lasting change.

For this reason, it is important that you pick a counselor with whom you feel comfortable and who feels like a good match for your personality and your therapy goals. Meeting for an Initial Consultation is the first step.
